– Our Team

Our farm manager, Karen Pettinelli, is in charge of all things related to food production and the business of farming.  Karen manages the Summer CSA, Winter CSA, food production and distribution for the Fresh Access program, and wholesale/restaurant sales.  A native of Massachusetts, Karen became involved in organic farming when she was 18 and has been been passionately farming now for over a decade. The community, the work, the healthy produce and lifestyle, and the mission of sustainability are all motivators in her work as Farm Manager.  Karen was recently featured in Edible Boston‘s summer 2012 issue as one of 4 women farmers featured to represent the growing movement of women in farming. Karen’s farming activities are frequently featured on our Blog (click here to read) and she contributes monthly articles about farming to the Granby Drummer.

Jill Ford is our administrative guru.  She served on the Board of Directors for five years and began volunteering her time doing administrative work.  She soon became invaluable and she has worked as an employee since 2011 ensuring the smooth “behind-the-scenes” workings of Holcomb Farm.  She has lived in the Granby community for over 20 years and loves working at Holcomb Farm to help feed her community mind, body and soul.  Jill’s joyful and reverential spirit inspires us everyday! When she’s not hiking with her husband, daughter and pooch, she’s singing, ringing chimes, and directing the youth choir at her church.

Many other wonderful people work at the Farm as Farm Crew, Store Crew, and Volunteers. Here are some of our favorite photos of them!
